Glasgow High School ranked second best high school in the state
GLASGOW Ky.- Glasgow High School has recently been named the second best high school in Kentucky.
This ranking came from a website known as Niche.com The criteria for the ranking includes overall test scores, the percent of students who move on to post-secondary education, graduation rates and attendance rates.
Glasgow High School Principal Dr. Amy Allen said Glasgow High was able to get this rating by keeping the focus on the growth of the students, with the good test scores coming from a result of that.
Allen said the experience feels rewarding.
“Part of being a Scottie is knowing that the tradition of excellence is carried on. We’re proud of our students, we’re proud of our staff. We’re excited and humbled to be considered the number two school in the state,” Allen said.
Paul Laurence Dunbar High School in Lexington was rated as the top high school in the Bluegrass State.
