Glasgow firefighters battle factory fire
GLASGOW, Ky. – The Glasgow Fire Department battled a factory fire on April 2 in the morning.
Fire Chief Lucas Tinsley says the department responded to an explosion and smoke at the factory at 845 Industrial Drive.
Units arrived and located smoke and fire at the saw dust collection site.
Two crews extinguished the fire and assessed damage to the structure.
Factory personnel killed the power to the collection units and firefighters overhauled each unit to extinguish the blaze.
The Glasgow Fire Department was assisted at the scene by Barren/Metcalfe Ambulance Service, Emergency Management, Glasgow Police Department, and Walbert Trucking.
No injuries were reported.
