Glasgow breaks ground on American Legion Park
GLASGOW, Ky. – With the summer closing and the pool season coming to an end, Glasgow is breaking ground on a new park.
Glasgow officials broke ground on the American Legion Park on Thursday, and the new park is set to offer some exciting new amenities to residents. The parks will host basketball, pickleball courts and a new pool. Planning for the new park began in 2017, and Glasgow mayor Henry Royse says that they are excited to bring new opportunities and improve the quality of life for Glaswegians.
“We’re adding so many more things to this particular facility at American Legion Park. Such things as pickleball courts, basketball courts. There’s going to be a walking trail. There’s going to be lots and lots of things for the public to enjoy, which truly falls in line with improving the quality of life for Glaswegians,” Royse said.
The park is expected to open in summer of 2025.
