Girl Scouts to hike membership prices up to $65 by 2027

(CNN) – The Girl Scouts of the USA are raising membership dues 160% over the next two years.

The National Council voted to hike prices from $25 to $45 in 2026.

In 2027, dues will increase again to $65 per scout.

However, this is still a smaller increase than the $85 originally proposed.

Membership dues are the organization’s largest source of revenue.

In 2023, they generated $38 million from nearly two million members.

The Girl Scouts has faced cash flow issues stemming from the pandemic, inflation and changing consumer behaviors.
