Gingerbread Homes for the Arts at SKYPAC celebrates 10 years

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – The holiday season is well underway at SKYPAC with their 10th annual Gingerbread Homes for the Arts contest.

Each year, individuals, groups, college students & youth in the community can enter their gingerbread houses, with cash prizes up for grabs for select winners.

We spoke to Makenzie Belcher with Arts of Southern Kentucky, who tells us she was blown away when she first saw the houses, and that the community will be too when they drop by.

“It is truly, truly special and a tradition that has been ten years going strong. We have people asking about it each year and just anticipating it with their families and friends. So it’s just special,” she says.

You can head to SKYPAC until December 14th to check out the houses and vote on your favorites until this Friday.

It only costs a dollar to vote for the People’s Choice winner, while other awards have already been announced.
