Get ready for class with Big Red Backpack

BOWLING GREEN, Ky.-Western Kentucky University is making it a little easier for students to be prepared for the first day of class this year. 

Introducing the new Big Red Backpack. Students can sign up to have all the books they need for every class put together by the bookstore. They then pick everything up, all at once. 

It not only saves students time, but also money. Students will pay only $24 per credit. so if the class is three credits, you cap out at $72 for all of the books for that class. 

The Big Red Backpack was initiated by WKU’s student government association. 

“I think the biggest advantage for the students of course is convenience but the biggest is the success of having what they need on the first day of class. and that’s always been a struggle in the past,” said the bookstore’s assistant manager Sarah Sears. 

Students have until the first day of classes to register for a Big Red Backpack.
