Perrigo Company plc is recalling some lots of Gerber Good Start SoothPro Powdered Infant Formula due to contamination concerns.

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration says the recall is due to the possible presence of a bacteria called Cronobacter sakazakii.

No distributed product has tested positive, and no adverse cases have been reported, the FDA says.

The product is sold at retailers across the U.S. Consumers who purchased the product after March 5 should look for the following lot codes and use by dates.

The FDA says symptoms of exposure to the bacteria for infants under 2 months old, premature infants or infants with a weakened immune system include but are not limited to fever, poor feeding, excessive crying and low energy.

If you have a product with matching codes, please discontinue use and dispose of the product.
