Gerald Printing prepares signs and banners for Vice President JD Vance in Fort Campbell

RUSSELLVILLE, Ky. – On Wednesday, Vice President of The United States JD Vance traveled to Fort Campbell to have a Thanksgiving meal with troops and held a press conference.

The signs and banners that hung for him were made locally at Gerald Printing in Russellville.

The signs that were made contained the vice president’s crest, along with his name and even had a Thanksgiving 2025 banner made to go along with it.

The employees at Gerald Printing did a great job of printing and producing these signs on a short notice, as they had less than 24 hours to get them made and ready for today’s event.

When it was first contacted, Gerald Printing thought it was receiving a prank call. But after further communication and receiving emails with the artwork, the team knew it was the real deal.

“So our customer service spun around and asked our operations manager if that could be done. And that’s normally not something that we would offer, you know, service in 24 hours.” stated Shane Hayes, president of sales and growth at Gerald Printing. “And, funny enough, he said, vice president of what? And, Tabby Cline up front, she said of the United States.”

The artwork for the signs was already made, but getting all the material and making sure everything was perfect on short notice speaks to how great of a job the team at Gerald Printing did to get these ready for the event.

Whether it was by the luck of the draw or they were handpicked, Gerald Printing employees felt that it was a great honor to make these signs for the Vice President of The United States.

When asked how he much of an honor it was to make these signs, Gerald Printing operations manager Billy Carnal said, “It’s a huge honor to be able to do that. A huge honor to be able to do it for what the. You know what the event was this week. Really, really huge honor to be able to produce signs that we’re going to be used while we’re serving Thanksgiving to our troops at Fort Campbell.”
