Gatlinburg to open longest pedestrian bridge in North America

GATLINBURG, Tn. – The longest pedestrian bridge in North America will open on Friday in Gatlinburg, Tennessee.

The new skybridge is on the top of the Gatlinburg Skylift, and quite literally crosses the sky as it stretches 680 feet across a deep valley.

With a height of 140 feet at its midpoint, looking down from the glass-floor panels is not for the faint of heart.

Guests will be able to walk across at their own pace and take in some of the best views of the Great Smoky Mountains.
