Future of Kentucky’s pension system to be argued in the State Supreme Court
Governor Matt Bevin and Attorney General Andy Beshear are headed to the State Supreme Court to discuss the future of Kentucky’s pension system.
This follows the massive teacher protests that took place in Frankfort back in April. Beshear believes that lawmakers did not follow the rules when they passed the pension bill, and on the flip side, Governor Bevin is defending his actions, saying the law is crucial to the system’s Sulvency.
Both parties will argue their side in the case later on this morning.
Kentucky educational television or KET, will be broadcasting the hearing live.
