Fundraising for Shop with a cop event by Simpson County Sherriff’s Office
SIMPSON COUNTY, KY.- It’s the season of giving, and a local law enforcement office is making a difference in the lives of kids across Simpson County.
Simpson County Sheriff’s Office is fundraising for its annual Shop With a Cop Event. The Sheriff’s office has already begun fundraising with their no-shave November fundraiser and several donations from the community because they know how much this means to the kids in their community. This is more than an opportunity to give kids gifts. It is also a chance to provide clothes and shoes that some children may not normally get.
Simpson County Sheriff, Jere Dee Hopson expresses the value behind fundraising. He says, “We all get a little spoiled when you have kids that you take places and you’re always buying them stuff. Keep in mind, there’s some kids that that’s never been able to watch a kid kind of tear up because he’s able to pick out a pair of shoes that he wants is very humbling.”
