Friends of Mammoth Cave National Park names DuBose as new executive director

MAMMOTH CAVE, Ky.- The nonprofit organization that supports Mammoth Cave National Park has named its new executive director.

Rick DuBose will take the lead at Friends of Mammoth Cave National Park.

DuBose comes to the organization as a recent Western Kentucky University retiree, where he worked in fundraising and alumni affairs for nearly 19 years.

The mission of Friends of Mammoth Cave National Park is to foster educational programs and research, support multi-generational visitor experiences, and promote fitness and recreational opportunities available at the park. Last year, the friends raised $66,000.

DuBose said he is looking forward to helping protect park resources and draw people to experience its wonder.
