Freddy’s Frozen Custard & Steakburgers donates $1,700 to VFW, American Legion
BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – One local restaurant is showing its support for two veteran organizations.
Freddy’s Frozen Custard and Steakburgers on Scottsville Road recognized American Legion Post 23 and VFW.
Through donations from the community, Freddy’s presented the two organizations with a check for $1,700.
Every veteran’s day, Freddy’s donates combo cards to VFW and American Legion Post 23 to distribute to veterans.
Freddy’s has plans already to do this donation yearly.
Cindy Boards, the General Manager, says giving back to veterans is nothing short of what they deserve for their service.
Freddy Simon, who is the founder of Freddy’s, spent time in World War II.
Simon also received the purple heart.
It’s Simon’s dedication to service that inspires Freddy’s to invest in their local veterans.
