Franklin printing facility announces closure

FRANKLIN, Ky. – More than 130 employees at a company in Franklin will soon be out of a job.

Earlier today, Quad Graphics announced its Franklin plant will be closing on Feb. 1.

The plant specializes in producing retail advertising inserts and employs around 135 people.

In a statement from the company, the decision is part of the company’s ongoing strategy to produce work where it can achieve the greatest manufacturing and distribution efficiencies and in no way reflects the quality and performance of employees in the plant.

Quad Graphics says they will assist the Franklin employees find new jobs including those available at other Quad Graphics locations throughout the country.
