FRANKLIN, Ky. – The Franklin Police Department will open its doors to the community.

Chief of Police Roger Solomon says the community room at the Franklin Police Department will be open to individuals seeking shelter from anticipated weather on Wednesday evening

Solomon says if the anticipated weather is too severe, individuals will be moved into the department’s storm shelter room.

The department can safely provide shelter to 30 individuals. Pets are not permitted.

Solomon says the room will open at 7 pm on Wednesday.
