Franklin man charged with leaving scene of accident involving motorcycle

FRANKLIN, Ky. – A Franklin man is behind bars after a reportedly leaving the scene of an accident.
According to a uniform citation, the Simpson County Sheriff’s Office responded Wednesday around 11:50 a.m. to a collision with injuries off of the 3100 block of Johns Loop Road.
Upon arrival, deputies say they spoke to 54-year-old Brandon Roberts of Franklin.
According to authorities, Roberts stated he was chasing down the victim, who was on a motorcycle, to “talk to him.” Authorities say Roberts stated the victim had been “revving his bike” in front of Roberts’ house over multiple days.
The citation states Roberts stated he chased the victim at a “very lose distance” to the motorcycle while they were on road.
Roberts stated the victim then hit his brakes, causing Roberts to hit him, the citation states.
Authorities say Roberts stated the victim got up afterwards and was walking toward him, so he left the scene and went home.
Roberts was arrested on charges of first-degree wanton endangerment, leaving the scene of an accident and failure to produce an insurance card.
