Franklin K-9 to retire, community invited to honor Shadow

FRANKLIN, Ky. – The Franklin Police Department is inviting the community to celebrate the retirement of K-9 Shadow.
With years of dedication, K-9 Shadow is officially retiring.
Join the Franklin Police Department on Wednesday, July 9 as one accomplished member of the force hangs up her badge.
Starting at 9 a.m., chief Roger Solomon will welcome guests, followed by refreshments and a meet and greet with Shadow. From there, guests can hear a detail honoring Shadow for her retirement at 10 a.m., with another meet and greet until 10:15 a.m.
The agency says she has left a lasting impact in both the police department and community. Thank you for your service, Shadow!
