Fourth District Fire Department responds to structure fire

BUTLER COUNTY, Ky – According to a release from the Fourth District Fire Department in Butler County, crews responded to a structure fire near the 9000 block of Brownsville road.

When crews arrived at the scene, they found heavy fire coming from the side of a house.  Due to the type of material the building was made out of, authorities say the fire was difficult to fight and had extreme temperatures.

The fire was eventually extinguished, however, authorities say several pieces of equipment were damaged, and several firefighters had to be treated for burns. There were no serious injuries reported.

The cause of the fire has not been released at this time. As more details become available, we will bring you the latest.
