Four Things You Need to Know: Thursday, February 27th, 2025
Happy Thursday!
Before you head out the door, here are four things you need to know.
- Today’s weather is much cooler but still pretty mild and highs should range in the low to mid 60s.
- On Saturday, March 1st- you can support the Barren River Lake with the friends of Barren River Lake and Park Butterfly 5k. Registration is still open and all proceeds go to a project dedicated to preserving local butterfly species.
- Saturday, the Franklin Simpson Chamber of Commerce is hosting a community health fair that offers free screenings and medical information for those in need. That will be held from 7 a-m to 11 a-m and admission is free
- Saturday is a big day across South Central Kentucky as the city of Auburn is hosting its own Mardi Gras celebration. This New Orleans-style fun is set to kick off at 6:00 P.M. in downtown Auburn. There will be delicious cajun food, a nighttime parade, and lots of beads!
