It’s an action-packed July 4th weekend in Southern Kentucky! Here are four things you need to know to help you make the most of it:

1. Glasgow Christian Academy BBQ Fundraiser!

  • What: Support the Glasgow Christian Academy with their delicious BBQ Fundraiser.
  • When: Tomorrow, Saturday, July 5th, starting at 10:00 AM and going until sold out.
  • Where: 1209 Spencer Road in Scottsville.

2. Summer Reading Farmers Market at SOKY Center!

  • What: Celebrate summer at the Summer Reading Farmers Market! The SOKY Center’s Pavilion will come alive with fresh food, food trucks, produce vendors, and exciting activities for kids. On July 5th, special activities include a LEGO play area hosted by Bricks & Minifigs, drone demonstrations by the Warren County Sheriff’s Office, and inflatables.
  • When: Every Saturday in July, from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM.
  • Where: The SOKY Center’s Pavilion, 636 Center Street, Bowling Green.

3. Hot Rods Game: “Dueling Pianos and Titans Night”!

  • What: Head to the Hot Rods game for “Dueling Pianos and Titans Night”! Enjoy pregame and in-game performances by Rock and Roll Pianos, appearances by the Tennessee Titans Cheerleaders and mascot, a mini-football giveaway, and postgame fireworks!
  • When: Tomorrow, Saturday, July 5th. Gates open at 5:30 PM, with first pitch at 6:35 PM.
  • Where: Bowling Green Ballpark, Bowling Green.
  • Matchup: The Hot Rods take on the Rome Emperors.

4. Independence Day Celebrations Across Our Region!

  • What: Today, July 4th, there are numerous Independence Day celebrations across our region!
  • Parades: Kick off at 10:00 AM in various locations, including Bonnieville, Russellville (with the Bob and Joyce Guion Kiddie Parade), and Downtown Franklin.
  • Festivities: In Warren County, Russell Sims Aquatic Center hosts festivities from 11:00 AM to 7:00 PM.
  • Other Events: Don’t miss the Hart County Fair 4-H Barbeque Contest at 1:00 PM. Plus, Barren River Lake will host fireworks at 9:00 PM.
