Four Things You Need to Know: January 07, 2026

  • Kick off the New Year with the Warren County Public Library by setting inspiring goals and creating your very own custom vision board to reflect them. Basic craft supplies will be provided, but feel free to bring your own magazines, photos, or personal touches to make your board uniquely yours. This takes place tonight at 6 at the Lisa Rice Branch.
  • Tonight at 6:30 at The Capitol, you can see the 1971 film The French Connection, starring Gene Hackman. This Academy Award-winning movie is about a driven police detective and his partner who track down a major international drug dealer. Admission is free.
  • Also at 6:30 pm at the SOKY Center, you can take a Zumba class. This dance-based fitness class incorporates a variety of styles, including salsa, cumbia, hip hop, and more. This class is suitable for all fitness levels. No registration is required and is donation-based.
  • Don’t forget there is still time to participate in the winter reading program with the Warren County Public Library. Complete any combination of 10 books, audiobooks, or library-based programs or events, and receive a free book and beanie. All completed logs are entered to win a grand prize of either a private movie rental at the Capitol or a private Storytime with your favorite character.
