Before you head out the door, here are four things you need to know about.
- Meteorologist Darius Mack says we have a dry and sunny day ahead with some rain chances over the weekend.
- This week, Barren County Schools kicked off their To-the-Brim Food Drive, giving back to families in need. That food drive is open until Friday, November 22nd.
- Here’s a full list of which schools are collecting which goods:
- LLA Childcare and Pre-K: Instant Oatmeal & Cereal
- Kindergarten: Mac and Cheese Kits
- 1st Grade: Instant Potatoes
- 2nd Grade: Ready-to-eat rice packets
- 3rd Grade: Tuna/Chicken Helper
- 4th Grade: Canned Chicken or Tuna
- 5th Grade: Baked Beans
- 6th Grade: Canned corn or Peas & Carrots
- 7th Grade: Canned Green Beans or Canned Spaghetti Meals
- 8th Grade: Peanut Butter or Jelly
- 9th Grade: Cans of Chicken Noodle or Tomato Soup
- 10th Grade: Dressing/Stuffing mix or Pasta Noodles
- 11th Grade: Spaghetti Sauce with Meat or Canned Fruit
- 12th Grade: Canned Tuna or Chicken
- Community members can pick any of the items above to donate at the school of your choice.

- This weekend, you can come out to the White Squirrel Brewery to raise money for those impacted by Hurricane Helene in the locally organized We Care Too: Helene Benefit Concert. There will be plenty of local musicians to hear from!
- Today is Fountain Row and Food Truck Friday! For this week’s food truck, we have Taco’s Way! Be sure to swing by 922 State St., right on Fountain Row, from 11:00 A.M. to 2:00 P.M. today for some good eats, with a portion of proceeds going to the Kentucky Veteran’s Brigade.
