Four Lady Purples sign to continue their athletic careers

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – Wednesday’s National Signing Day across the nation featured four Bowling Green Lady Purples who wrote their names on the dotted line, officially setting college plans in stone.

Liv Arauz is going from BG to Bellarmine University to continue playing soccer for the Knights.

Caroline Childers is headed to South Carolina, joining the Winthrop women’s golf team after a decorated career as a Lady Purple.

Morgan Rockrohr is furthering her volleyball journey just down the road in Tennessee at Austin Peay State University.

Amirra Bailey signed to join one of the top volleyball programs in the nation at the University of Louisville following some dominant high school days.

After the ceremony, both Childers and Bailey shared how being a Purple has shaped their lives.

“ I’ll remember all the advice that my high school coach told me, my dad, my swing coach, I’ll just remember all the bits and pieces that I’ve learned over the past however many years,” Childers said.

“When Mr. McGraw says, ‘Once a Purple, always a Purple’ I believe that is very true,” Bailey said. “I will always have a special place for this place in my heart and this program, this school, the people, it’s honestly too much for words to describe right now.”
