Former WNKY ‘Pet of the Day’ gets adopted after 540 days in shelter

LOGAN COUNTY, Ky. – One Logan County pet has something big to be thankful for this Thanksgiving.

The day before the national holiday, Logan County Animal Care and Control announced a dog named Francesca got adopted after 540 days at the shelter.

You may have seen Francesca on WNKY News 40’s Pet of the Day segment earlier this week.

Logan County Animal Care says Francesca’s new family saw her on the segment this week and fell in love with her.

The shelter says it has been praying for this day to come.

The shelter stated, “Frannie, we love you so much and we are so happy for you! It’s going to be an adjustment not seeing you everyday, but that’s okay because you are going to an amazing and loving home! Happy Life, sweet girl. You deserve it so so much.”
