Former WKU Star Courtney Lee Suffers Injury

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – The Dallas Mavericks have announced that former Western Kentucky Hilltoppers great Courtney Lee suffered a left calf injury during the league’s current hiatus and will not be available when the team resumes organized workouts on July 1.

The news came late Tuesday night via a tweet from the team’s official public relations account.

The 15-year NBA veteran Lee appeared in 14 of the Mavericks’ last 17 games and had started 5 of the last 6 before the NBA suspended play on March 11th.

The WKU alum averaged 4.5 points, 1.3 rebounds and 0.5 assists per game throughout the 2019-2020 season.

As of now, it is unclear how Lee suffered the injury and there is currently no timetable for his return.
