Former Purples star Jamale Carothers transfers to WKU

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – Former Bowling Green Purples’ star and Navy starter Jamale Carothers is returning to his old stomping grounds as the running back announced via twitter that he will be transferring to Western Kentucky University to finish out his remaining college eligibility.

Carothers cut his teeth in South Central Kentucky as a member of the Purples football team and continued that success as a member of the Midshipmen.

The 5-9, 203 pound back will be looking to replicate the numbers he put up in 2019, when he ran for 734 yards and 14 TDs for Navy.

Last season, Carothers toted the rock 97 times for 358 yards and 2 TDs.
