BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – Warren Central is the next Football Frenzy 2026 preview, presented by Bowling Green Fireplace and Grill.

The Dragons welcome a new head coach to the field this year and he’s excited for what he knows he can bring to the team.

“One is a championship culture and number two is stability,” head coach Kenny Davidson said. “(Warren Central’s) had seven coaches in 16 years and the goal is to bring stability and bring a solid culture to back to the program.”

Davidson is no stranger to Warren Central. As an alum and a former assistant on the football team, Davidson’s love for the Dragons goes way back, and his players are already seeing his passion.

“He’s a very serious person,” junior Kingston Wilkinson said. “He’s really bringing this team together and making it more organized than it’s ever been since I’ve been here.”

“It seems like he really bought into the program,” senior Javiyion Smith said. “It feels like he really wants to get to know us and change this program.”

Warren Central’s coming off a 3-win season in both 2025 and 2024. In order to get over that hump, Davidson is emphasizing accountability, taking pride in oneself and hard work, and he’s liked what he’s seen from his guys so far during summer practices.

“The kids have worked extremely hard and that’s all we can ask them to do is work extremely hard,” Davidson said. “When you have worked extremely hard and give 100% every single day, you always put yourself in a position to be successful.”

The Dragons are focused on making sure they stay working hard all season long.

“We just got to hold each other (accountable) as a team, and even when we’re losing, when the things aren’t going great, we got to keep on pushing,” senior Sean Abebrese said. “I’m so excited. I believe this year is gonna be different.”

Warren Central opens the 2026 season against Monroe County on August 21st at home and is ready to show fans a new and improved Dragons squad under the Friday night lights.
