Food assistance to help Kentucky families in Cave City
CAVE CITY, Ky.- Thousands of families in Kentucky are forced to choose between buying groceries or paying essential bills.
According to Feeding America, Kentucky’s Heartland, families can spend over $4,000 a year on groceries alone. To help ease that burden, food pantries and distribution centers offer much-needed support.
CEO Charles Dennis says these services provide crucial budget relief and are convenient for families in need.
Drive-thru food distributions have become especially effective, making it easier for both recipients and volunteers. These events also strengthen partnerships with local agencies and boost community involvement.
For residents in Cave City, Feeding America will hold a food distribution event on June 19, from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. It’s part of a continuing effort to make sure no Kentuckian has to go hungry.
