Flooding, tornadoes hit southern plains
(NBC News) The plains states, battered by storms for days, are facing even more severe weather.
That forecast comes after a night of tornadoes and flooding rains across the region.
Oklahoma is the flash point, with more than a dozen confirmed twisters ripping apart homes and businesses, downing power lines and uprooting trees.
Some didn’t have time to hide. One homeowner was pulled to safety after he was pinned as a tree crashed through his roof.
In other areas flooding is threatening homes and lives. Dozens of high water rescues were carried out Tuesday.
