Five arrested on controlled substance charges

CROMWELL, Ky. – The Ohio County Sheriff’s Office and Kentucky State Police arrest five individuals on drug possession charges.

According to the agencies, two separate search warrants were executed at residences near the 3000 block of Sandefur Crossing Road in Cromwell on Monday.

Upon arrival at both locations, officers located five individuals. Several grams of methamphetamine, drug paraphernalia, and a firearm were found at the locations.

All five individuals were arrested and charged.

Taylor Burden is charged with possession of controlled substance methamphetamine – 2nd offense and drug paraphernalia buy/possess.

Desirae Frye is charged with possession of controlled substance methamphetamine – 2nd offense and drug paraphernalia.

Brian Frye is charged with possession of controlled substance methamphetamine – 2nd offense and drug paraphernalia buy/possess.

John Evans is charged with possession of controlled substance methamphetamine – 1st offense and drug paraphernalia buy/possess.

Ozzy Johnston is served an FTA warrant out of Daviess County.

Officials say additional charges are expected.

The five individuals were lodged at the Ohio County Detention Center.

The investigation is ongoing.
