First responders, Toys for Tots hand out toys on Christmas morning

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – On Christmas morning, the flashing lights of a firetruck are what brought holiday joy for some Bowling Green families.

Families were greeted by members of the Bowling Green Fire Department, Toys for Tots of Southern Kentucky, the Warren County Sheriff’s Office and volunteers as they handed out toys to local children.

Making Christmas wishes come true isn’t new to these groups – they have been doing this service for years. This year was no exception.

New bicycles, toy cars, dolls and more reached the arms of local children.

The gifts are made possible thanks to donations from all around the community, as well as fundraisers. In addition, The Firemen Moving Co helped provide trucks to transport toys.
