Firewood scam targeting Allen County residents during winter weather, says sheriff

SCOTTSVILLE, Ky. – The Allen County Sheriff’s Office says a scam is targeting Allen County residents during this weekend’s active winter system.

According to a social media post by ACSO, area residents reported they were allegedly scammed out of money when purchasing firewood.

ACSO asks all residents to be cautious when purchasing materials during weather events.

ACSO says callers may experience a slower response time as deputies respond to ongoing emergency efforts.
