Firefighters respond to house fire in Greensburg

GREENSBURG, Ky. – First responders battled a house fire in Greensburg Sunday night.
According to the Summersville Volunteer Fire Department, firefighters responded to assist the Greensburg Fire Department with a residential structure fire on West Columbia Avenue.
Initially, the department says heavy fire was coming from the front porch of the home. The department says the fire reached the second floor and attic as well.
Firefighters gained control of the fire within minutes, according to the department.
The Summersville Volunteer Fire Department says it was on scene for around three hours to extinguish hot spots.
