Firefighters respond to Christmas Day fire in Georgetown

GEORGETOWN, Ky. – Multiple units responded Christmas Day to a house fire in Georgetown.
While many were celebrating the holiday with loved ones, the Georgetown Fire Department and Scott County Fire Department responded to the scene to battle the fire, according to a social media post shared Monday.
Thanks to the quick actions of first responders, Georgetown fire personnel say the fire was brought under control.
No injuries were reported, according to the Georgetown Fire Department.
“This is a reminder that emergencies don’t take holidays — and neither does our commitment to this community,” the department stated.
