Home at popular wedding venue burns

SMITHS GROVE, Ky. – Firefighters were called at about 7 p.m. to a house fire at 2100 Hays Pondsville Road, the home at Elkins Grove wedding venue.

Four volunteer fire departments responded to the scene with about 40 firefighters.

Residents were home at the time of the fire but no one was injured, according to fire officials.

The home was a total loss, officials said.
