Firefighters battle woodland blaze in Allen County

HALIFAX, Ky. – Firefighters responded to a fire in Allen County on Thursday.

According to a release from the Halifax Fire Department, fire units responded to a woodland fire in the 2700 block of Cemetery Road.

HFD says firefighters located an active fire in roadside areas, a fence line, and a portion of the wooded area.

Fire units were on scene for approximately one hour.

The Scottsville Fire Department assisted HFD.
