Firefighters battle fire that spread to four homes in Central City
CENTRAL CITY, Ky. – The Central City Fire Department responded to a home fire on Thanksgiving morning.
According to a social media post by the department, units arrived at the 700 block of North Second Street shortly after 7 am and located a fully involved house fire
The single-story wood frame residence was vacant and collapsing upon arrival.
Firefighters controlled the fire quickly.
The home was destroyed.
CCFD says three additional homes were affected by the fire. The exteriors of the homes sustained minor to moderate damage.
Utility poles and lines were also damaged in the fire.
The avenue was closed for several hours while crews controlled the scene.
The investigation is ongoing.
