Firefighters battle blaze at Chestnut Center
BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – Multiple Bowling Green firefighters were called late Tuesday morning to battle a large blaze at 728 Chestnut Street at the Chestnut Center Building which is home to several small businesses.
The call came in at 11:49 a.m. Nine trucks and a strike team of additional firefighters were called in.
“We’ve got extra people manning reserve apparatus to cover the rest of the city,” Bowling Green Fire Department spokeswoman Marlee Boenig said.

Fire and smoke were both visible when firefighters arrived.
A fire investigator will be called in to examine the damage and determine the origin and cause of the fire.
