Fire department called to By-Pass dental office
BOWLING GREEN, Ky. –This morning a structure fire broke out at Wiesemann Orthodontics, shutting down a portion of the bypass.
The fire department received the call about the fire around 10 a.m. and at the scene found the building on fire and filled with smoke.
An employee said she heard a loud explosion followed by bright flames.
Bowling Green Fire Department spokeswoman Marlee Boenig said there were no patients in the building at the time. All employees evacuated and no one was injured.
Seven fire trucks and 25 personnel were at the scene. Boenig says they are lucky no one was hurt.
“When we arrived we also noted that all of the employees were out of the building which is a great thing for us to find. It’s always good when we get to a building and we know that everyone was out and no one was hurt so we’re very thankful for that,” said Boenig.
The building sustained significant damage. The cause of the fire has not been determined.
