BGFD responds to Tuesday night blaze at Trace Die Cast

BOWLING GREEN Ky.- On a rainy Tuesday night, the Bowling Green Fire Department responded to a fire at the Trace Die Cast plant.

Just before 8 p.m. eight fire trucks responded to the scene with nearly 30 firefighters. There was heavy fire and smoke coming from the roof of the building when the BGFD had arrived.

No one was injured.

Trace Die Cast President Chris Guthrie was grateful for the fire department’s response to his business and the fact that no one was injured.

“All of our employees acted the way they were supposed to and evacuated properly. We had an initial fire team internally fight the fire. Then the Bowling Green Fire Department came out. They’re always very professional and really put the fire out quickly,” Guthrie said.

With the facility now running at full capacity, Guthrie emphasizes his appreciation for the heroes from Tuesday night.

“They’re just so well trained and care about what they do. They act quickly and very professionally, and they communicate with all of us very, very well. We really appreciate their efforts,” Guthrie said.
