Researchers are looking into a new approach in fighting alzheimer’s using the brain’s own natural defenses. A study at Northwestern University found certain immune cells help remove plaque and restore a healthy brain environment. Currently, there isn’t a way to target these immune cells, but doctors say it’s a first step to finding better treatments.
