Fifth-grade teacher arrested after alleged sexual conversations with student

LOUISVILLE, Ky. – A fifth-grade teacher in Kentucky is behind bars in connection with alleged sexual conversations with a young student.
According to a uniform citation, Louisville Metro Police Department detectives were contacted by JCPS police in relation to exploitation of a juvenile victim.
Authorities say during a non-traditional workday, also known as an NTI day, a fifth-grade math teacher “engaged in sexual conversations with a fifth-grade student.”
The citation states detectives were able to review conversations between the child and suspect.
Authorities say screenshots and video recordings of the conversations show images of the suspect, as well as her name in the top corner.
The suspect was identified as 36-year-old Sydnee Graf of Louisville.
Authorities say Graf made arrangements to try to meet with the child on Monday, Dec. 15.
Graf was apprehended while picking up the child near the child’s home, authorities say.
The victim at the time of this offense was under the age of 12, according to the citation.
Graf was arrested and charged with procure or promote use of a minor by electronic means.
