FFA Week at Warren East High School

WARREN COUNTY, Ky. – Students in the agriculture program at Warren East High School have been celebrating their heritage in food production throughout the week.
They drove tractors to school, including two students who drove their combines to school. All of this to bring attention to and celebrate the importance of a career in food production.
Ag teacher Harley McIntyre, herself part of a line of farmers and ag teachers, says the celebration is a great time of the school year.
“We celebrate National FFA Week with a multitude of different events. Today, we have driving tractor to school day, as you will see a little bit later on. I think we had 11 participants today drive tractors. Two of our seniors actually drove combined. This is our senior year, and every year, they’ve driven something a little bit bigger. So their senior year, they of course, wanted to drive the biggest thing on the farm,” McIntyre said.
