Female artists needed for Women in the Arts

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – The Health and Wellness Center is calling for women artists to enter and display their art pieces for their annual Women in the Arts event.

The event is scheduled for June 3 and 4 at the Medical Center – WKU Health Sciences Complex.

If you’re a female artist over 18, you can enter paintings, sculptures, photographs and a number of other works of art.

Download an entry form at medcenterhealth.org and return it by May to be considered.

“This is one of my favorite events that we do, probably because I am not an artist, but being able to showcase women that are local to Kentucky, is really important to us; because art can be very therapeutic so it’s a great event for the community,” said Health and Wellness Director Sarah Widener.

There are only a limited amount of entries they can accept due to the amount of space. The participants will be recognized with rewards, including The Special Purchase Award, which is purchased by and displayed at The Medical Center, cash merit awards, honorable
mention awards, or the Artworks Award.
