‘Felt like I was living a dream,’ Campbellsville man wins $30,000 in Kentucky Lottery

CAMPBELLSVILLE, Ky. – What felt like a dream became a reality for one Campbellsville man.
According to the Kentucky Lottery, Braxton Skaggs won $30,000 after playing a Kentucky Lottery Instant Play game online.
Lottery officials say Skaggs told them he jumped on his phone recently and put $50 in his online account to play with,
“I just had a feeling,” Skaggs said. “I’m going to get on and give it a try.”
He said he wagered $5 on a Triple Platinum Instant Play game before winning thousands moments later.
“Whenever it hit, it said $20,000 but then went into the bonus game and ended up with $30,000,” Skaggs said. “I just couldn’t believe it. Felt like a was living a dream.”
“The odds of winning the $30,000 prize are one in two million,” he said. “That’s just crazy to me. I just can’t get over it.”
The Taylor County man traveled to Kentucky Lottery headquarters on May 30 where he received a check for $21,600, after taxes.
Skaggs told officials he plans to put his winnings toward a down payment on a house he plans to build.
