Feedback meetings for Bowling Green to Mammoth Cave Trail set to take place October 16
BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – The Bowling Green to Mammoth Cave Trail project is moving along, as the team gets ready to host another feedback meeting later in October.
The project plans to put a dedicated off-road trail in place for bicyclists and pedestrians, connecting the city of Bowling Green to Mammoth Cave National Park.
A study is currently being done by staff at the Barren River Area Development District and their consulting team to gauge the community’s feedback on the project, and so far it’s been great.
“We’ve been doing some development on what some potential layouts for this trail might be, some potential spurs and where might a trailhead be? Where might it actually go? What might we be able to connect to and things like that. So it’s a very exciting time. This is the kind of stuff that people really want to see whenever you’re talking about something like this. So we’re really excited to be able to bring this to the public and see what their thoughts are,” Ethan Bates, the Regional Transportation Planner for BRADD, says.
Those meetings will take place on October 16th, first from 2 to 4 PM in Park City at the Senior Center, then from 5 to 7 PM at the BRADD office in Bowling Green.
