FDA sends warning letters to infant formula manufacturers after inspections

(CNN) – The Food and Drug Administration is warning three baby formula makers about code violations.
It says inspectors found significant ones at their facilities over the past several months.
The companies involved are ByHeart Incorporated, Reckitt/Mead Johnson Nutrition and Perrigo Wisconsin, LLC.
The FDA says it supervised each company over the past year as it conducted recalls of formula that was potentially contaminated, but regulators say these company warning letters do not mean families should throw out or avoid any products.
The FDA says it’s not aware of any formula on the market that’s contaminated.
