Fatal plane crash leaves 1 dead in Tennessee

COTTONTOWN, Tenn. – A fatal plane crash leaves one dead in Cottontown, Tennessee.

The Sumner County Sheriff’s Office says it responded to a plane crash on Wednesday.

SCSO says it secured the area and assisted in the initial response.

SCSO says it is working with the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) in the investigation. NTSB may assume the lead role in the investigation.
