UPDATE: Fatal crash leaves one dead, one injured in Horse Cave

HORSE CAVE, Ky. – The Kentucky State Police is investigating a fatal car crash that has left one dead and another injured.

According to KSP, troopers received a call just before 6 p.m. Friday for a possible fatal collision.

Troopers arrived at the scene near the 5200 block of South Dixie Highway.

Through a preliminary investigation, troopers say they learned a 2013 Chevrolet Impala driven by 76-year-old James Rice of Munfordville was traveling northbound on U.S. 31-W.

Troopers say Rice’s vehicle crossed the center line and entered the southbound lane, crossing into the path of a 2000 Toyota Tundra driven by 64-year-old David Bradley of Munfordville.

Rice was pronounced dead at the scene by the Hart County coroner.

Bradley was flown to the University of Louisville Hospital for treatment.

The investigation remains ongoing at this time.
