Farmers RECC names incoming president and CEO

GLASGOW, Ky. – The Farmers RECC Board of Directors has announced Chuck Bishop has been selected to become the next president and CEO of Farmers RECC.
According to Farmers RECC, Bishop will succeed Tobias “Toby” Moss, who is retiring after serving as president and CEO since 2023.
Bishop has been with Farmers RECC since 1994, according to the company.
The electric cooperative says in his role, he will be responsible for “all aspects of our electric system design, staking, engineering models and maps. He has also been responsible for developing the Farmers RECC’s system plan and protective schemes. He also provided in-depth support to other departments.”
In total, the company says Bishop brings more than 30 years of hands-on experience with the Farmers RECC electric system to the CEO role.
According to Farmers RECC, Bishop is a life-long Glasgow and Barren County resident, graduating from Glasgow High School. Bishop holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Kentucky. When not working, Bishop, an avid supporter of youth sports, enjoys coaching a variety of youth sports, most recently, volleyball. He also enjoys spending time with his family and three children, Cade, Laney and Caroline.
Bishop will begin in his official CEO position and duties on Friday, July 17.
